There are three road rides in Waukesha, Jefferson, and Walworth Counties.

The 15 mile ride is a fairly flat loop in the Town of Ottawa. Most of it is on rural roads, and village roads in Waterville, Ottawa, and Dousman. A short portion of it is on the trail.

The 30 mile ride is a bit hillier and is mostly on rural roads. It goes near Sullivan, Oak Hill, and around Ottawa Lake. There is one rest stop on this loop.

The 62 mile ride (a metric century) takes you to some remote rural areas. It has a number of rather challenging hills and some long flat portions. It takes the riders out toward Rome, Duck Creek, Helenville, Farmington, around the Jefferson Tamarac Marsh, Slabtown, and Hebron. If you are determined to ride full centuries later in the summer, a metric in June is a perfect way to start. Our own Lady archer will be the ride marshal on this loop. There will be two rest stops.

There will be sag vehicles, and motorcycle support on all of the rides provided by the Safety Unit of theRock River Hog Chapter. All of the motorcyclists are trained in advanced first aid.

In September of 2016 the Spring City Spinners Bicycle Club had its last Pedal The Kettle Century (PTK), after providing Waukesha County with a great century since the days of Greg LeMond. While we no longer have that club century, Mark Blackman and The Spinners have dedicated themselves to helping Lad Lake and the Kettle Classic with material and volunteer assistance. Their long experience putting on cycling events will be extremely valuable to us this year and in the future.

Once again The Bicycle Doctor in Dousman will provide the Kettle Classic with sag support and technical assistance. This year we will use customized route arrows, gps, maps, and cue sheets.
